Favorite Blogs & Other Tidbits

Happy Spring, friends!  Above is one of our engagement photos from Morning Wild Photography. It's 3 years old now, which is crazy to think about.

I don't have a recipe for you today.  I had high hopes that I'd spend my spring break last week getting ahead on school work and blog work, but I ended up doing neither.  Instead I caught up on boring life appointments (eye doctor, oil change, etc), researched places to live for this summer and next year, and spent time with family. It was a productive week, but not in the way I'd hoped.

This week was a flurry of stress and work, and Adam and I were out of town most of the weekend, so there was just no time for cooking or photographing. BUT, I'm still really excited about this hodge podge post because I've been wanting to share these links with you for a while.

As you may have caught on from my lengthy Blog Love list, I have a bit of an obsession with following blogs.  I also happen to have several awesome real life friends who have created blogs, so I want to share them with you.

My friend Steph runs Steph Seeking Joy, where she shares all kind of posts, from wedding inspiration boards to things to do in D.C.  I'm actually going to be living and working  in D.C. this summer, so she's going to be my go-to for advice for all the fun things to see and do there. She also has her own Etsy site and wedding planning company, Stephanie Scholl Events.

My friend Katie has a lifestyle blog called Katie Lauren Parker where she shares style boards, book reviews, trip recaps and, my favorite, marriage advice.

My friend Tiffany runs Tiffany Refined, a lifestyle blog that has everything from tips on cooking for two, to a DIY hair mask.

My friend Ellen started Happily Ever Iffter to document her new married life in California. Ellen is hilarious, and my favorite recent post of hers is a recap of Lady Gaga's Oscar performance.

My friend Megan blogs on Grass Roofs Movement. (She hasn't blogged recently but I hope she will again soon!) I loved reading her recipe for paleo chocolate banana muffins and 5 things she learned from a spending freeze.

My friend Lindsay, who also happens to be a professional journalist, blogs honestly about all sorts of big life changes, including marriage, a big move, job changes, and the challenges of meeting people after you move to a new place.

I also thought I'd share a few of my favorite people to follow on instagram. The above photo comes from Caitlin of Healthy Tipping Point.  The caption she wrote with it was "Let whatever you do today be enough."  It was exactly the message I needed that day.  In addition to her blog, Catlin is behind Operation Beautiful, which is a movement to encourage positive body image among girls by putting encouraging sticky notes on bathroom mirrors.

I will also admit that I have a problem with following babies on instagram. My favorite babies to follow are Bev's twins.  I also love Camp Patton and her 4 kiddos.  Both of  Bev and Grace regularly have captions that make me laugh out loud, which is needed in law school.

For food, I love the aesthetic of The Faux Martha.  Jessica of How Sweet Eats always has really fun posts too.  Sweet Phi has great behind the scenes food photography posts, while Min, a nutritionist shares easy healthy meals via MJ and Hungryman.

Are there any particular blogs or instagram accounts that you love? Please share!
